Technical Support Specialist - Based in Dubai

We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic and motivated person to join our team within a well-established and progressive company. Specialising in inventory management and supply chain consultancy, we provide a flexible software solution to assist our expert team in delivering solutions to businesses, that far exceeds the competition.

We are looking for someone to join our team as part of the helpdesk to assist our customers with their queries in a professional, helpful and friendly manner. We pride ourselves on high-quality support and because we deliver that, our customers speak very highly of us. All of our team members are highly valued and you will be a key player in providing this high-quality service.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • To take inbound calls and emails.
  • To log, detail, progress and resolve 1st line support tickets.
  • To correctly prioritise and resolve tickets within the SLA.
  • To keep the CRM system and all relevant documentation up to date.
  • To create, troubleshoot and fix SQL queries and scripts.
  • To install new systems, as well as patch and upgrade existing systems.
  • To support the internal laptops, desktops and network equipment.
  • To correctly escalate issues to the helpdesk team leader, where appropriate.

The successful candidate must possess the following soft skills:

  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be punctual, presentable and motivated.
  • Be able to provide a professional and positive customer service experience.
  • Be efficient and organised.
  • Be a very fast, willing and adaptable learner.

The successful candidate must possess the following technical skills:

  • Previous desktop support / product support experience.
  • Basic networking knowledge. (IP Addresses, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, etc.)
  • Knowledge of different VPN software and establishing VPN connections.
  • Microsoft SQL Server and the ability to write SQL queries and scripts.
  • Microsoft Windows server and desktop operating systems.
  • Microsoft office products.

It is also desirable to have some supply chain or inventory management experience, but this is not essential. Candidates should already be based in Dubai.

we are looking for you! We will develop your personal skills, enhance your supply chain knowledge
in order to accelerate your growth in your professional career.

Why do we believe in developing young talent ? From theory to practice. In daily practice, we find that theory does not always fit with the operational needs of the company. The theoretical nature of university education provides a solid foundation but does not always simulate the reality of day-to-day business. Because professionals are scarce, and likely to be even more so in the future, developing talent is high on our agenda.

With your specialist knowledge, coupled with our guidance, you will be more than adequately prepared to take on a leading position within this fast-paced supply chain business. After the program you will have the option to specialize in consultancy, implementation, presales, business development or a combination of those.

About The Program
The Young Professional Development Program is like no ordinary graduate scheme and is not for the
average student. The Young Professional Development Program is a 2 year fast track program to launch your supply chain career. Within two years you will complete different projects focused on consultancy, implementation, presales and business development. These projects are both customer facing and non-customer facing focused on your personal development.

In the first year of the Program, the focus is on four important pillars: practical experience, internal training, personal development and projects. This way you build up the knowledge and experience that lay the foundation for your career within Slimstock.

1. Practical experience: You work with a consultant, someone from the (pre-) sales team or the sales team. How long you stay with a colleague depends on the duration and size of the current projects and your interests.

2. Internal training: During the training sessions, gathering knowledge about our Slim4 software is central. This way you learn all the in's & out's from Slim4, so that you can use them perfectly. During the training exercises are done and different cases are treated. You get to see all the functionalities and learn how to implement Slim4 at a customer.

3. Personal development: We think it is very important to look at your talents and your ambitions. You also get all the space and enough opportunities to discover these. Through training and coaching we ensure that you discover your qualities. Ultimately, every Young Professional gets a unique role within the team.

4. Knowledge & projects: Finally, you get to see all the functionalities and learn how to implement Slim4 at a customer. In addition to gaining practical experience, it is also important to take time for self-study. During the self-study hours you will have the opportunity to process your knowledge and elaborate on it. To help you with this, many colleagues and documents are available.

In the second year of the Program, you start your specialization. With your acquired knowledge and experience you will determine your direction with us. Your development process can consist of specializations: consultancy, pre-sales or sales. If you are interested in one of the directions, your trajectory will be adapted to the development that you want to go through.

Your profile:

  • A (completed) academic Master’s degree related to Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Econometrics or similar
  • You have a max of 2 years of experience within Supply Chain Management and Inventory planning

  • Outstanding practical problem-solving skills
  • Autonomous worker and a team player

Communication Manager - Based in Dubai

We are looking for a Communications Manager who will be responsible for the development and execution of a communications strategy & plan for Slimstock DMCC. Specialising in inventory management and supply chain consultancy, Slimstock provide a flexible software solution to assist our expert team in delivering solutions to businesses, that far exceeds the competition. With a background in corporate communications, social media and creative communications, you will execute strategic communication activities with target media to build the brand as innovative, collaborative and efficient.

What your work will look like :

  • You will act as an internal, active and influential business strategy consultant, ensuring that the message we share with our stakeholders align with our business strategy and execution.
  • You'll be part of a cross-functional business team, working closely with Brand Management, Sales, Research & Development and others as you serve as the voice of the company.
  • Your key to success will be your ability develop and execute a corporate reputation strategy both external and internal.
  • We encourage growth in our group by giving you broad exposure to the business and diverse assignments.

Main responsibilities :

  • Maintain regular communication with HQ marketing, communication and development teams.
  • Keep abreast of all new development in the software and share these where required

Desired Skills and Experience :
