Duovorm E-tail Group will implement Slimstock’s supply chain platform, Slim4, to take its supply chain processes to a higher level. The supplier of furniture fittings and tile tools for professionals and do-it-yourselfers aims to further improve its delivery reliability and adding efficiency to internal processes by incorporating Slimstock’s inventory strategies and advanced supply chain automation solutions.

Duovorm started selling furniture fittings online more than 10 years ago, and since then, the business has grown exponentially, adding new brands and products to the assortment. As a result, orders have increased rapidly, and with the acquisition of Ceramic Tools, the range has expanded further to include tile tools.

Duovorm E-tail Group now delivers throughout the Netherlands from its locations in Veendam and Groningen. Furniture fittings are delivered from Veendam, while the Groningen location handles the tile tools.

Challenges of a dynamic range

The wide product range presents significant stock challenges, and varying sales patterns are no exception. This creates complex planning challenges and requires a lot of manual work from the planners. To support the company’s growth, there is a need for an optimised stock strategy that accurately matches supply with demand.

The proven Slim4 platform can help Duovorm make accurate forecasts and provide the right signals when something threatens to disrupt the stock.

More insight, less manual work

With the implementation of Slimstock’s award-winning supply chain platform, Slim4, Duovorm has the tools it needs to optimise its inventory management. Management by exception allows planners to focus on the right priorities and makes the ordering process more efficient. This not only improves delivery reliability but also results in a more streamlined and scalable operation, allowing planners to manage their time efficiently and thus create room for further growth within the organisation.
