Role Overview
As part of Slimstock Québec’s growth team, the Pre-Sales & Account Manager plays a key role in supporting complex sales cycles. Acting as a solution and domain expert, you work closely with the sales team to deeply understand prospects’ and customers’ operational challenges and design high-value solutions using the Slim4 platform.
This role sits at the intersection of data, operations, and business decision-making, supporting organizations operating in diverse environments such as distribution, manufacturing, industrial and mining supply chains.
Key Responsibilities – Pre-Sales & Sales Enablement
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support sales cycles in close collaboration with the Business Development team.
- Analyze current processes and identify improvement opportunities in demand planning, supply planning, production planning, and inventory management.
- Analyze customer data using Slim4 to model forecasting, replenishment, production and capacity planning scenarios, translating business challenges into practical, value-driven solutions.
- Prepare and deliver tailored Slim4 demonstrations, using real customer data and reflecting each client’s operational context.
- Actively participate in proposal reviews, commercial discussions, and contract negotiations.
- Support project kick-offs for complex implementations with new strategic customers.
Expertise, Account Development & Market Presence
- Build and maintain recognized expertise in Demand & Supply Planning, Production Planning, S&OP / IBP, and supply chain analytics.
- Engage with Supply Chain Directors, Operations Directors and Vice Presidents to challenge existing planning processes and position Slim4 as a strategic decision-support platform.
- Identify and drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities within the existing customer base.
- Contribute to local marketing initiatives, including events, presentations, conferences and thought-leadership content.
- Stay current on product developments and best practices to address complex operational environments, including multi-site networks, multi-echelon planning, capacity constraints, long lead times and high variability.
Profile & Qualifications – Education & Experience
- University degree required
- Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field (strong asset)
- 5–7 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain planning, production planning or a related role
- Experience in complex B2B environments (asset)
