COOK, Food & Drink’s #1 best company to work for, has launched a store-wide initiative to boost customer satisfaction.

To improve the availability of its award-winning frozen products, the leading food retailer has formed a strategic partnership with the inventory experts at Slimstock.

For 24 years, COOK has offered British families with a helping hand in the Kitchen. Using the same ingredients and techniques that a good cook would use at home, its team of culinary experts hand-prepare an extensive range of nourishing frozen meals.

Following a period of significant growth, the retailer needed to update its inventory processes to keep up with the evolving needs of its loyal customer base.

Caila Fritter, Head of Planning & Stock at COOK explains: “Our customers sit at the heart of everything we do. To offer a truly remarkable standard of service, we needed to find a partner that could work with us to improve levels of availability across our network of stores & online shop.”

As a certified member of the B Corporation, a global community of companies committed to using business as a force for good, COOK also wanted to build more sustainable processes: “We are always looking for better ways of doing business. By helping our planning teams, our stores and our suppliers to work together more effectively, this project will help us strengthen our industry-leading position.”

To optimise allocation & replenishment processes and improve forward visibility, COOK will implement Slimstock’s inventory optimisation solution, Slim4. Simon Tully, Head of digital & technological services at COOK adds: “After speaking with Slimstock’s existing customers, it was clear that Slim4 offered the specific retail functionality we needed to advance our operation.”

Simon goes on to concludes: “During the selection process, we built a great relationship with the team at Slimstock. As a business that shares our commitment to customer satisfaction, we are excited to work with their team as we take our business to the next level.”
