Polonez, one of Ireland’s largest specialist grocery retail chains has launched a major supply chain initiative to support its continued expansion. Focused on creating efficiencies across its network of stores, the retailer will collaborate with Slimstock to centralise supply chain planning.
Since opening its first store on the outskirts of Dublin in 2003, Polonez has evolved to become the largest chain of Eastern European grocery stores in Ireland with plans to open further locations. Committed to providing customers with the best choice and freshest quality products, Polonez has partnered with Slimstock to improve customer experience as it pursues further growth.

As part of the supply chain transformation project, Polonez will implement Slimstock’s AI-powered supply chain planning platform, Slim4. By centralising planning decisions, automating supply chain workflows and creating visibility throughout its end-to-end operation, the Slim4 platform will help the grocery retailer to rebalance inventory, minimise waste and free up in-store teams to dedicate more time to enhancing customer experience.

A revolutionary approach to supply chain planning

To facilitate further growth, Polonez needed a scalable platform to unify planning throughout its network of distribution centres and retail stores. Furthermore, the retailers needed an advanced solution to enable seamless collaboration between the in-store, operations and commercial teams.

By implementing Slim4, Polonez expects to increase on-shelf availability while reducing its overall investment in inventory. Through improving visibility and enabling dynamic data-driven replenishment, the Slim4 platform will support Polonez as it embarks upon the next phase of its expansion.

Adrian Rezmerita, CEO at Polonez highlights, “Our goal is to deliver the best service possible to our customers and it was clear that with the combination of Slimstock’s Slim4 solution and their retail expertise, they would be the best partner to help us achieve that.”
