Jollyes latest initiative set to leave tails wagging

JollyesJollyes, the UK’s second largest chain of specialist pet stores, has kicked off 2019 with the launch of an exciting new strategic partnership with Slimstock inventory experts.

As Trustpilot’s highest rated national retailer, Jollyes has ambitious plans to diversify their offer and become a truly integrated pet speciality retailer, with Slimstock being an integral part of this transition. The partnership aims to optimise inventory levels and release working capital whilst sustaining Jollyes’ market-leading customer satisfaction.

Chris Ward, Jollyes’ Chief Commercial and Supply Chain Officer explained, “At the heart of Jollyes is a fantastic core of engaged, hard-working colleagues and amazing customers. However, there are factors which we knew we must overcome in order to help our business realise its full potential.” This major supply chain partnership with Slimstock will underpin Jollyes’ ambitious growth objectives over the coming years, increasing its footprint from 67 to over 100 stores by 2025.

Committed to expanding their range of private label products as well as advancing the rollout of additional pet care services, such as veterinary and grooming facilities, the decision to partner with Slimstock marks an important milestone in the business’ evolution. Chris Ward continues, “By optimising our supply chain, we will set a solid foundation on which Jollyes can flourish.”

Focused on increasing availability whilst reducing investment in stock, the Jollyes supply chain team will utilise Slimstock’s inventory optimisation solution – Slim4 – to gain greater visibility over their inventory position.

Chris explains, “We always strive to offer our customers a great experience. As we invest into the future growth of Jollyes, I have no doubt that Slimstock’s retail expertise will help us to exceed the high standards our customers have come to expect. Furthermore, the efficiency improvements Slim4 will help us to deliver will also play a crucial role in funding some of the other initiatives we have planned as part of Jollyes’ evolution.”

Will Severn, Head of Sales at Slimstock, concludes: “As a business that also truly understands the importance of innovation, I see great parallels between Jollyes and Slimstock. With the inventory optimisation project now in full swing, we are excited to support Chris and his team at every step of their journey.”
