Sales and Operations planning

S&OP is one of the most important company processes, it links the corporate strategy to the daily operations and aims to balance supply and demand. While S&OP is easy to understand, in practise it can be hard to implement.

People are the driving forces behind a good S&OP process, and it requires many complex social interactions. Managers from various departments, often with diverging KPI's, have to work together as a decision making unit.
