
The output of the MPS (Master Production Schedule) is a capacity plan that is optimised for maximum runs and minimal changeovers. Keeping the setup costs low has become increasingly difficult. Single product offering shifted towards multiple size variations with increasing demand volatility. Clustering demand for a single item in a range of end products and calculating the required safety stock is not supported by MPS software. Slim4 is designed to fit this need.
